Go to Settings > Subscription 2. Choose your plan 3. Enter payment details (secure Stripe checkout) 4. Confirm — new features unlock right away ``` ### Downgrading Downgrades take effect at the **end of your current billing period** — you keep your current features until then, then the lower price applies. Your habits are never affected by a plan change. Active habits are unlimited on both tiers, so there's no "choose which ones to keep" step and nothing gets archived on your behalf. What changes is the metered things: barcode scans and voice logs go back to the free daily allowance, and analytics, full protein history and connected devices switch off. **Your data is always preserved.** Downgrading or canceling never deletes your habits, history, or client records. To actually delete your account, see [Data Privacy & Security](/kb/troubleshooting/data-privacy#deleting-your-account). --- ## Canceling **Canceling does not delete your account.** You keep your data, drop to the free tier at the end of the period, and can re-subscribe anytime. ``` 1. Settings > Subscription 2. Manage Subscription > Cancel 3. Confirm ``` You keep paid features until the end of the period you already paid for — no further charges after that. **Example**: Subscribe Jan 1, cancel Jan 15 → you keep paid access until Feb 1, then drop to free with no charge. --- ## Billing Questions ### When am I charged? First charge is immediate. Recurring charges land on the same date each cycle. If that date doesn't exist in a month (e.g. the 31st in February), you're charged on the **last day** of that month. ### Updating your payment method ``` 1. Settings > Subscription > Update Payment Method 2. Enter new card details (secure Stripe form) 3. Save ``` Update before your next billing date to avoid a failed payment. **Failed payments**: If a card declines, Stripe retries a few times over about a week. If it still can't collect, the subscription cancels and you drop to the free tier. Update your card to restore access. ### Viewing billing history Settings > Subscription > **Billing History** shows every charge, the last 4 digits of the card used, and downloadable invoices. ### Why was I charged twice? Usually one of: - A **prorated upgrade** charge plus your normal cycle charge. - A **yearly** charge (one larger amount instead of monthly). - A **retry** after a temporary decline (the extra pending charge drops off). Check Billing History first; if you see a true duplicate, contact support and we'll refund it. ### Refunds - **30-day money-back guarantee** on a new subscription — email support and we'll refund it. - Prorated upgrade charges aren't refundable (you got the features immediately). - Accidental duplicate charges and billing errors on our end are always refunded. --- ## Discounts & Referrals **Give a Month, Get a Month**: Invite a friend from Settings. When they sign up and accept, you **and** your friend each get **30 days** of paid access, granted automatically.
